We are beginning some online lessons. If you are interested in trying online lessons please email us at [email protected]. We will be back but it will be gradual. We will keep are doors closed until it is safe for our students and teachers and adequate sanitation supplies are available. If you need musical equipment, strings, stick etc. also reach us by email. We have pick up options.

I had a few people ask me to play something on my home piano. I put a couple of mics up and tried a recording. Grew up listening to this one, a mix of classical and rock piano. I hope you enjoy it.

Teaching music class with online videos!

Hello friends of Blue Island Music. I am very sad to say our doors will remain closed for now. We will weather this storm and reopen when it is safe I promise. Many of our teachers are full time musicians and these are difficult days financially.
I have been teaching a student online in New York for four years. It works but an in person lesson is far superior. However these are unusual times. My wife and I are attempting to teach school online as well. If this drags on I will create some online lessons for our Blue Island Music students. Some very kind words from Paul Cullen about our Gerry and friends concert. Thanks Paul.

I realized yesterday was Grammy night after I got home from your show. Drake of all people said it best, "if you are a hero in your hometown, you don't need one of these (Grammy award)" I'm sure you appreciate seeing the packed house you had, caliber of guest players you have known for years, and the realization that none of us cared about Hollywood's biggest night in music, but came for yours. I'm glad to know you Gerry and congrats on your win at the biggest night in music, Blue Island style. A true hometown hero.
