If you keep standing up through impact, it’s easy to think you just need to try harder to “stay down.”
But sometimes the cue isn’t the problem.
One thing I check is whether your hips have enough internal rotation to let you stay in posture while you turn.
If that motion is limited, staying down can get harder, and standing up may become the workaround your body uses to make room.
That doesn’t mean limited hip rotation causes every early extension.
It means the swing may be adapting to what your body can and can’t do.
Find what’s driving the pattern before you keep trying to force the fix.
