I think most people would be shocked at how consequential #2 is on this list. A one-sentence review of a book you've enjoyed creates algorithm movement...AND...will make the author smile...

Writing books is not lucrative (for 99.7% of authors who have to have a day job and/or working partner), not respected (by 99.7% of people), and ultra, ultra time-consuming (find an add'l 2,000 hours in your year(s)...).
