It's a special house sorting day tomorrow! At 1:45, during Launch Time, all of our Kindergarten students and students who are new to Blowing Rock School will officially be sorted into their Houses.

We would LOVE for our new families to join us and witness the moment your child is sorted. There is something incredibly special about watching a student discover where they belong, and we want you to be part of it!

BRS Rockets!! You ROCKED this first week of school!

When I say our community shows up for us, that is an understatement. Thank you to Appalachian State University athletes for hyping the kids up this morning and our PTO for providing teachers with Chick-fil-A and Birdies Coffee & Treats.

’Twas the night before school, and all through BRS,
The classrooms were ready—each one at its best!

The bulletin boards were all finished with care,
With colors and welcomes awaiting you there.
The hallways were shining, freshly waxed and bright,
And desks were all waiting, lined up just right.

The pencils are sharpened, the books are in place,
And tomorrow we’ll welcome each smiling face.
Our teachers are ready, our Rockets are too—
There’s so much excitement for all we will do! 🚀💚

So get a good night’s sleep and prepare for the fun…
Because tomorrow, Rockets, a new year has begun!

We can’t wait to see you tomorrow!

**PLEASE SEE THE FOLLOWING MESSAGE ABOUT BOOK BOXES:
Dear Families,
Please return summer book boxes starting this week.
Volunteers will be able to unpack and shelve books so teachers and students can use them during regular instruction. We'll also continue to send book boxes home during the school year. I really appreciate you for taking home a box for the summer--and taking the time to return them during our Teacher Work Week so we can start reshelving! Boxes may be left in the front hall.
