BACK TO SCHOOL ✏️🏫

As students across Sullivan County settle into their second week back in the classroom, our School Resource Officers are excited to be back, too!

This school year marks seven years of having a dedicated SRO in every Sullivan County school. In addition to our SROs, two sergeants and a lieutenant help oversee our School Resource Officer program and provide support across our schools.

Our SROs are there for much more than school safety. They’re there to build relationships, be a trusted resource and help students whenever they need it.

We hope all of our students, teachers, staff and families have a safe and successful school year! And to our students — if you ever need help, have a question or just need someone to talk to, your SRO is there for you.

Carpool is already so much better! Thanks to everyone for doing your part to make our campus safer and our car line more efficient. Thank you for not parking on property or at the gate before 3pm.

A few stats from today:
🚗Only 4 minutes to load the top row and begin releasing cars

🚙 12 minutes from the time that the first car was released until the last car drove away

👦🏻Approximately 250 car riders dismissed

IMPORTANT CARPOOL UPDATES:
As we continue to work together to make our campus as safe and secure as possible, we ask for your help and support with the following:
-Beginning Wednesday, 8/5, the gate nearest the track and Wheeler United Methodist Church will be closed from 9am - 3pm. All campus traffic after 9am should enter via the Centenary/playground area gate.
-Our track, fields, and playground areas are closed to families and community members during school hours, 8:30am - 3:30pm.
-Carpool line will not begin until 3pm. At 3pm cars may begin parking in a double line on the bottom level (see picture). All cars should enter via Wheeler drive/gate nearest the track. At 3:20 the carpool line will move through the middle level to the top level, ending in front of the playground sidewalk.
-If you need to pick your child up early from school, please make plans to do that BEFORE 3pm. Families arriving after 3pm may be asked to join the carpool line to wait on their child.

A big thank you to all who have volunteered over the last few weeks to get our campus freshened up and ready for the new school year. From landscaping, to pressure washing, playground prep, and even preparing ours hearts through prayer, we are grateful for the role that our community plays in making our school a great place to learn and grow. Thank you for supporting our Holston family 💙🦅🧡

Exciting news!

Our PreK students now have the opportunity to attend for the full school day, 8:30 - 3:30, and can now ride the school bus to and from school.
