The Learning Center at Northeast State

The Learning Center at Northeast State We offer free, drop in or scheduled tutoring for students currently enrolled in classes at Northeast State Community College. We love helping students succeed.

The Learning Center was opened in the fall of 2006. It was created to allow students to have access to free, drop-in tutoring, and a place where they could work. We have tutors available for Science, Math, English, and basic computer skills. Our hours are Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday 8:00 A.M. - 6:00 P.M.; Tuesday 8:00 A.M. - 7:00 P.M.; Friday by appointment only. We are located in L103 on the bottom floor of the Wayne G. Basler Library.

The Advising Resource Center provides academic advising, career advising and transfer advising services to students, coordinates academic advising for the new student orientation program, and manages a variety of outreach programs to promote student success.

Priority registration for spring is underway! Students can stop by an advising-to-go spring registration station to meet with our Advising Resource Center staff and register for classes. Stop by on November 12 at the Locke Humanities Building (10:00 a.m.-2:00 p.m.), November 13 at the Humanities Building (10:00 a.m.-2:00 p.m.) or Technical Education Complex (9 a.m.-12:30 p.m.), and November 14 at the TEC between 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. Technologies Northeast State's International Education Northeast State Entertainment Technology Kingsport Center For Higher Education RCAM Regional Center for Advanced Manufacturing
