Congratulations to West Ridge Agriculture teacher, Sarah Knight, on receiving a $3,190 agriculture grant! This funding will provide exciting opportunities for hands-on learning and continued growth within the agriculture program.

We are proud of the dedication and hard work being poured into agricultural education at West Ridge. Congratulations as well to all of the agriculture students who will benefit from this incredible opportunity. Keep up the great work!

Our garden is starting to produce. Students will be working to maintain the garden this summer.

This year WRHS FFA received two grants from National FFA. The grants were a $3,000 Living to Serve Grant and a $5,000 Tractor Supply Grants for Growing Grant. The funds were used to create an outdoor learning area in the agriculture program area. We partnered with the WRHS MEP program to build tables, seating, raised beds, and a chicken coop. In addition agriculture students created a privacy fence in school colors, laid landscape cloth and West Ridge Blue rubber mulch to beautify the area. On Friday, May 8 we celebrated opening the area with a cookout provided by the culinary department.Students from the Agriculture, Culinary, and Special Education programs enjoyed spending their lunch in the garden.

Students will be selling flowers during graduation on May 16. They will be located inside the gate and items will be available for purchase when gates open. Single Rose in West Ridge Blue - $5 or 2/$8, Single White Rose $3 or 2/$5. Bouquets will start at $15 - $30. Other graduation items available starting at $1.
