Another Bloomsburg Alum just made a major gift🎓🎉
 
Frank Doone ‘21/‘23M recently made a $100,000 bequest to the “Everyone Loves an Underdog Scholarship.” Frank believes strongly in serving others, and on top of feeling a sense of comradery from Bloomsburg and its community, he truly appreciates the support he received and wants to pay it back🐺🌄
 
“Whether it was my advisor, whether it was my teachers, or whether it was my gym buddies, I always had some kind of guidance… I had always had a family here, and it made me who I am.”

Bloomsburg Alums Hakeem ’17 and Coleen ’17 Thomas just made an astonishing $115,000 gift to student success🐺🎉
 
Hakeem and Coleen’s gift will establish the Hakeem & Coleen Thomas Family Endowment and the Jeanne R. Schlager Memorial Scholarship, supporting students in both digital forensics/cybersecurity and in human resources.

On top of their gift, Hakeem currently serves as president of the Commonwealth University-Bloomsburg Alumni Association, exemplifying his dedication to and belief in the Bloomsburg Husky Nation.

Bloomsburg Alumnus Richard C. White ’78 has just made a $40,000 pledge to Bloomsburg’s Geoscience Department 🌍🔎🐾
 
The Richard C. White ’78 Geoscience Student-Faculty Research Fund will help cover travel expenses, conventions, and conferences, that allow students and faculty to network with the wider Geoscience community and increase their knowledge through hands-on experience.

Last week, Commonwealth University-Bloomsburg and the Bloomsburg University Foundation made history by completing a record-breaking fundraising goal of $100 MILLION.

The Campaign For Bloomsburg: It Starts With Us launched in 2024 with the goal of raising $100,000,000 for Bloomsburg Huskies. We not only smashed that goal, but we did it a year ahead of schedule. Now, Commonwealth University-Bloomsburg students of present and future can apply for more scholarships, participate in more professional experiences, and enrich themselves with even more extracurricular activities.
