Susquehanna Valley Child Development Center We are a Keystone Star 3 childcare and preschool facility that serves children aged 6 weeks to 12 years.

SVCDC’s main focus is providing a safe, stimulating, and nurturing environment where development, education, and play happen simultaneously throughout a child’s day. At SVCDC we believe that our focus should be on a child’s physical, social/emotional, cognitive, and language development as well as engaging the individual in a responsive learning environment. We respect the differences in cultural,

ethnic, and linguistic backgrounds of all of our families and embrace this as contributing to each child’s individuality. We encourage parents to be active member in their child’s care and education and work directly with parents in fostering a positive relationship between home and center goals. Children are encouraged to be active members in their development and growth by being stimulated with gross and fine motor activities, creative outlets, music and movement activities, out of center trips, and a nutritional diet. The loving and experienced staff directs the children with a consistent routine and structured schedule while respecting the individual needs of each child’s development and learning styles. The staff encourages learning through playing because at this age, a child’s number one job is to have fun!
