It’s National Library Week! Today is “Right to Read Day,” bringing attention to censorship and book bans in the United States. In honor of today, the ALA has released their Annual State of America’s Libraries Report, including the list of 2025’s Top Ten Most Challenged Books.

Our past and current Presidents and Vice Presidents recently attended IU’s Student Org Awards. In this week of great news, we are so excited to announce that we received the Award for Leadership Development and were the 1st runner up for Event of the Year with our AmaZINE Extravaganza event! Thank you so much to all the ALA-SC members who make this such a stand out student org! 🫶

New this semester: Join the ALA-SC for a chill coffee date! We’ll be hanging out at Morgenstern’s from 11am-3pm every first Sunday of the next few months (except for April which will be the SECOND Sunday), so be sure to mark your calendars. See you there!
