Wonderful things are happening in the SLS @ IU department!

Congratulations to Professor Isabelle Darcy on receiving a fellowship from the Mediterranean Institute of Advanced Studies (IMéRA) in Aix-en-Provence, France.
Professor Darcy will hold a chair in Language and the Brain at the Institute for Language, Communication, and the Brain (https://www.ilcb.fr/) for 10 months beginning this fall.

ILCB | Institute of Language, Communication and the Brain Bringing together experts in linguistics, neuroscience, psychology, medicine and computer science to understand and to model the way that language functions.

Our first presenter of the semester will be Ph.D. Candidate, Will Allendorfer. He will be giving a job talk on "Situational elicitations: Developing grounded scenarios for pragmatics production studies"

The job talk will be in Morrison Hall 007 from 2:30 - 4:30 p.m.on January 17, 2020.
