Dinner tonight: Salad with grilled shrimp, avocado and Campari tomatoes with a white wine vinaigrette; lemony, garlicky kale salad with toasted almonds with grated Parmesan. So so healthy and delicious!!!

Homemade onion, herb-topped focaccia. The recipe is from the cookbook. Baking Bread with Kids by Jennifer Latham, produced a year ago by my son and daughter in law in their Berkeley, California photo studio. The recipes are excellent...not simple or quick. Kids will need a lot of adult supervision. This is the best focaccia I've ever made or eaten...Really!

After a fabulous dinner at El Mercader, my favorite restaurant in Granada, my neighbor, Lisa, and I decided to recreate the FABULOUS recipe called Milhojas de Manzana. The chef at the restaurant gave me a private class a few years ago so I sort of knew how to make it. Our attempt tasted exactly like the restaurant version, but didn´t look so good😂😂😂 Next time will be better!!! The ingredients are simple and delicious: Apples, butter, goat cheese and Pedro Ximenez Spanish sherry. MMMMMMM.

Appetizer tonight at El Mercader, my favorite restaurant in Granada, Spain. The chef taught me to make this fabulous recipe with apple, goat cheese and sweet Spanish sherry. I haven´t perfected it yet, but when I do, you will want to learn to make it. It´s divine.

Recently, I gave a Spanish Tapas class to a fabulous group of students. Together we made eight traditional tapas and after all of the preparation, Maggie, Melanie, Eric and Doug had a tapas party together in my dining room. Such a fun evening!!!

Homemade sushi....Today´s project with my grandson, Frankie!
Dinner with Jane isn´t a typical cooking school. I have created a fun experience for my students which gives them hands-on practice as we prepare a three course dinner. After cooking together for several hours in my kitchen which was especially designed for my classes, my students move to my lovely dining room to enjoy the wonderful food which they prepared together.
I specialize in international cuisine as I have studied cooking in Italy, Perú, Spain, India and Costa Rica. I am able to customize each menu to suit the specific needs of my students. I offer both vegetarian and gluten free menus. In addition to international cuisine, I offer classes in easy dinner ideas, party fare, pizzas and soups. My goal is to present menu ideas which my students can reproduce in their own homes for their family and friends.
Dinner with Jane is a perfect “girls’ night out” or a date night with two or three couples. It is a wonderful team-building experience for a business.
The cost per person of a class at Dinner with Jane is $75.00 which includes my instruction, all ingredients used to prepare the meal, copies of all recipes and dinner following the meal preparation. Wine or beer is not included, but students may bring their own bottles to enjoy.
