The Cook Music Library is home to the archive of composer Walter Kaufmann. We're so excited that our partnership with Doblinger has resulted in a new world premiere!
SOYEON PARK, Preisträgerin Ö1 Talentebörse-Kompositionspreis 2022: Neues Werk "Arcade" bei Doblinger veröffentlicht!
Siegerin des Ö1 Talentebörse-Kompositionspreises 2022 war Soyeon Park von der Kunstuniversität Graz. Die mit 10.000 Euro dotierte Nachwuchs-Förderung wird von der Österreichischen Nationalbank unterstützt. Zusätzlich erhielt sie einen Kompositionsauftrag. Ihr dabei neuentstandenes Werk "Arcade, für Instrumentalensamble" wurde nun uraufgeführt und ist beim Kooperationspartner Musikverlag Doblinger erschienen.
Die 1989 in Südkorea geborene Soyeon Park begann mit drei Jahren Klavier zu spielen, zwei Jahre später mit dem Geigenspielen, ehe sie mit 13 auch zu komponieren begann. Sie studiert derzeit Komposition, Komposition-Musiktheater sowie Jazzkomposition und Arrangement an der KUG.

This is Niko. When he's not listening to electro swing or funk while he shelves in the library, he's learning how to play his keytar. He claims he's played TTRPGs on and off for 5 years and had DM'd multiple campaigns and oneshots (and someone is gonna have to explain to us what that means?? 🤷♀️)

Hyrum loves hunting for underused repertoire in the library. He also has a black belt in Taekwondo (but he doesn't want to fight you, DO NOT ASK!)
He's the youngest of 5 siblings and thus, the favorite. 🕶️
Welcome to Fall 2022! Here are the music library's hours:
Sunday: noon to 9:00 pm
Monday through Thursday: 8:00 am to 9:00 pm
Friday: 8:00 am to 5:00 pm
Saturday: noon to 7:00 pm
