Over the next ten days MSU Debate will be competing at the first tournaments of 2021. Two teams are competing at the Georgetown Debate - CSU, Fullerton Speech & Debate Team Tournament this weekend and four teams are competing at the Indiana Debate Tournament next weekend. Go Green!
MSU Debate is having some virtual practice debates with Minnesota Debate and Indiana Debate today. Thanks to everyone helping to make it happen!
Dear IHSFA Coaches and Teams,

Indiana University and the Indiana Debate Team will be hosting the National Debate Coaches Association's Debate Group (NDCA) National Championship tournament in the spring of 2020. The tournament will be hosted on the Bloomington campus from April 4th-7th.

The tournament includes the following types of debate: Public Forum, Lincoln Douglas, World Schools, and Policy Debate.

The NDCA is a collection of high school coaches from around the nation. Please see their website for more information http://www.debatecoaches.org.

We would love to see some of our homegrown Hoosier debate teams representing the state at the tournament!

An invite will be posted soon. Registration will be through tabroom.com.

Indiana Debate is the competitive debate program at Indiana University Bloomington. We also provide services for public debates and high school outreach.

Our first debate tournament back in person after 2 years was a success both in finding quality tacos and taking Ws

In Novice, the new partnership of Sofia Vidali and Belle Chatpunnarangsee ended their run as Quarterfinalists
Malea Floyd and Zane Kierzyk competed through to the Octafinals.
Belle was also named the 8th speaker out of the 48 individuals competing in the division.

In Open, both the partnership of Anekah Fish/Kyler Logan and the maverick debater Janet Oluwayomi ended the tournament with 2-4 records, securing wins against Northwestern, Oakton, and Houston.

And shout-out to UT Austin for hosting!
