Washburn Elementary is a PreK through grade 5 school with approximately 490 students and is part of Bloomington Public Schools.
At Washburn, we provide a challenging, comprehensive curriculum to ensure academic success. Our students enjoy an atmosphere that encourages learning. Our educators are highly skilled, enthusiastic, and committed to their students' achievement. We also have a solid commitment to foster in our students a strong sense of community, mutual respect, and compassion for others.

Come out and enjoy a delicious dinner & dessert all while supporting Washburn Elementary! This is our last restaurant night of the school year. It's SO hard to believe that in just a few short weeks, our children will be out on summer break.

Although we don't know yet what the 2020-21 school year will look like, we are sharing back-to-school information to help families plan ahead. We will communicate any alternate plans or cancellations as those decisions are made.
All elementary buildings will have two days where students come in to meet the teacher and complete a short assessment for the 2020-21 school year.
These days will be Wednesday, Aug. 26, and Tuesday, Aug. 31, 2020. Please look for more information and sign up times in early August.

We are continuing to serve grab and go meals at Kennedy High School and Valley View Middle School this summer for all Bloomington students ages 18 and younger.
