Juli Fisher demonstrates exemplary instructional practices every day in her first grade classroom at Marlin Elementary through collaboration, project-based learning, direct instruction, and consistent expectations. She utilizes innovative strategies such as vertical spaces, math rotations, and strategic groupings based on data. She is a leader in the building's Project Based Learning initiative with an ongoing garden project where students actively participate alongside community partners β linking gardening to math and English Language Arts (ELA) while even sharing soup made from the garden's harvest with the Pre-K classroom. Her students regularly demonstrate strong reading growth, building a foundation that carries through to later assessments. ππ±
Mrs. Fisher serves as a leader in Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports, communicates with families through every channel available β ParentSquare, phone calls, written notes β and is a leader in the schoolβs implementation of Reveal Math. She advocates for students, collaborates with staff and families, and presses forward with initiatives that make a difference. As her nominator shared, "Her students demonstrate growth academically and they demonstrate growth personally β through self-monitoring and goal-setting." ππ
