Staff Appreciation week is May 4th - May 8th and we’re excited to celebrate the dedication and care our teachers and staff show every day!

Wednesday, May 6th is "Write a Thank You Note" day. One meaningful way students can show their appreciation is by writing a simple thank you note to their teacher or staff member. These notes can be heartfelt and personal—whether sharing a favorite memory, expressing gratitude for support, or simply saying “thank you” for all they do. We encourage you to take a few moments at home to help your student create a note. Handwritten messages are especially meaningful, but any form of appreciation will brighten a teacher’s day.

Thursday, May 7th is "Treat your Teacher" day. If your family would like to participate in an additional way, you may also consider selecting a small item from your teacher’s “Favorite Things” list. These lists include simple preferences—such as favorite snacks, drinks, or small treats—that can make gift-giving easy and thoughtful. Participation is completely optional, and notes of appreciation are always more than enough. Below is a link to our teachers "Favorite Things".

Please have your student bring any notes or optional items to school during Staff Appreciation Week so we can be sure they are delivered.

It’s time for our CHALK THE WALK event at Poplar Bridge!! Bring your creativity, imagination and get ready to get messy with chalk for a fun night to brighten up our blacktop!

The Poplar Bridge PTA is looking for parent and family volunteers to help with running Field Day events on Friday, May 15. K-2nd students will be out in the morning and 3rd-5th in the afternoon. We will provide all the details and equipment for running your event. No prep or prior experience necessary! Just come ready to have fun!
