Congratulations to Jaein Kim on her second Master’s recital! With pianist Yeontaek Oh, she delivered a dynamic performance featuring Hummel’s Sonata in D Major, Op. 50, Taballione’s virtuosic Fantasia su La Traviata, and Reinecke’s Undine Sonata.

Congratulations to Minjin Lee on her first-year Master’s recital this week! Together with Euijong Choi, She presented an expressive program featuring C.P.E. Bach’s Hamburger Sonata, Eldin Burton’s Sonatina, Marin Marais’ Variations on Les Folies d’Espagne, Karg-Elert’s Symphonic Canzona, and Godard’s Suite de trois morceaux. 🎉 Great work, Minjin!

Congratulations to Lilah Senibaldi on a beautiful and interesting Artist Diploma chamber music recital yesterday featuring • Doppler L’oiseau des bois • Duruflé Prélude récitatif et variations • Debussy Sonata for flute, viola and harp • Rota Trio for flute, violin and piano. 💐

Kudos to our Spring Ballet flute section, Hope, Marcus and Stella, who performed two nights in the University Orchestra for three different ballets: Lauren Lovette‘s Le Jeune, Sasha Janes’ Rhapsodic Dances, and Mark Morris‘ Sandpaper Ballet.

Applause 👏 to Samantha Mitchell and everyone in the IU Chamber Orchestra for their performance of Britten’s tricky score for The Turn of the Screw. Samantha, our talented master’s student, showcased her versatility by seamlessly shuffling between flute, alto, and piccolo in two performances of the opera this weekend.
