Have you heard about Hike & Seek? It's an outdoor exploration program designed for children ages 2-6 to spend time in nature with a special adult in their life along with children of a similar age.

Registration for our next Hike & Seek program closes at 11:59 p.m. on Thursday, September 19 so you'll want to register soon if you want to try out this new opportunity. This program takes place monthly at different parks around the City. Check our program guide for more dates and locations.

We’re looking to hire a Full-Time Floating Early Childhood Education Teacher

At Jill’s House Intergenerational Preschool, we believe that every child deserves a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment where they can learn and grow. Our team is passionate about supporting children ages 6 weeks to 5 years while building strong, trusting relationships with families. We value collaboration, creativity, and a positive work environment for both staff and children.

Position Overview:
We are seeking a Full-Time Floating Teacher to join our team. This role provides support across multiple classrooms (infant through preschool), assisting lead and assistant teachers as needed. The Floating Teacher ensures consistency in care and learning by stepping into classrooms to support routines, activities, and staff coverage. This is a great position for someone who is flexible, team-oriented, and eager to gain experience across different age groups.

Key Responsibilities:
• Support classrooms ranging from infants to preschool, adapting to each room’s needs.
• Assist with daily routines such as meals, rest time, and classroom activities.
• Implement developmentally appropriate activities under the guidance of lead teachers.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and positive classroom environment.
• Build positive, professional relationships with children, families, and coworkers.
• Follow state licensing regulations and center policies.

Qualifications:
• High school diploma or equivalent (required).
• CDA or degree in Early Childhood Education preferred (or willingness to work toward one).
• Previous experience in a licensed childcare setting strongly preferred.
• Flexibility and willingness to work in multiple classrooms daily.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Must meet state requirements for background checks, health, and training.
