We are only NINE days away from the First Day of School! We look forward to students diving back into the arts and exploring everything from visual arts — ceramics🏺, stained glass 🪟, painting 🎨 and more — to taking the stage in performing arts 🎭 and music 🎶!

Did you know that MCCSC music programs consistently rank among the top 5 statewide? We offer an Elementary Strings 🎻 program in addition to various band 🥁, orchestra 🎵 and choir 🎤 options in our high schools and all three middle schools: Batchelor Middle School, Jackson Creek Middle School, and Tri North Middle School.

In addition, Fairview Elementary School is an Arts Integration school — offering "choice" arts classes in addition to regular music 🎼, art 🖌, physical education 🏀, and Spanish 📚 classes.

The first day of school is Wednesday, August 5, 2026! Visit mccsc.edu/backtoschool for helpful information to help you prepare. Your child’s school will send you important information and things you may need to do specific to your school or your child.

Attend our Elementary School “Meet and Greet” event Tuesday, August 4, 2026 (Day before school) from 3:00 – 4:00 PM at All MCCSC Elementary Schools. Preschool and Pre-K programs are included in the event.

Applications that are completed by July 17, 2026, are guaranteed to be able to start on the first day of school. MCCSC has added part-time options this year. Please see more information, including fees, on our webpage. Scholarships are available for qualifying students.

About the Program: MCCSC’s Extended Day Program offers before and after school care in 14 elementary schools. Programming is available to students in 3-year-old Preschool through 6th grade. Students will engage in a variety of hands-on, student-led activities, social development opportunities, as well as indoor and outdoor play.
