Celebrating local volunteer achievements at the State Master Gardener Conference! 🌻

We extend a very special congratulations to McLean County Master Gardeners Kelly Garrett and Laura Friday! Both Kelly and Laura received the State Outstanding Master Gardener award and were recognized at the 2026 State Master Gardener Conference in Rockford, IL. It is truly an honor to be recognized with this award, as only 1-2% of Master Gardeners in the State receive this award annually.

Check out the beautiful blooms at the Livingston County Extension office! This year, Master Gardeners added a mix of drought-tolerant plants to the office planters, and they are thriving 🌼Container gardens can be a great option for smaller garden spaces, while still supporting pollinators. Consider using a mix of different plant heights and colors to add dimension to your pot. The combination of plants this year featured Dusty Miller, Blue Salvia, Lantana, Pentas, and Moss Rose. Great work, Master Gardeners!
