If you're looking for a church to celebrate Christmas this year, Clear Creek Christian Church is hosting two Christmas Eve services at 2pm & 4pm, as well as a Christmas Day service at 10:30am. No matter where you celebrate, let's remember the birth of Christ this Christmas - Emmanuel, God with us.

We are excited to share the news that the matching gift has been met in full today! This campaign has been, and continues to be, a labor of love. It's encouraging to see God working through the details to help us grow our school. To Him be the glory.

It's Meet the Staff Monday! Meet Mrs. Hill, one of our 4th grade teachers!

Mrs. Hill graduated with a BS in Elementary Education from Indiana University. She taught at Clear Creek Christian School for 7 years before having children. During her time away from teaching, Mrs. Hill served on the school's board. Now that her children are of school age, she is excited to be teaching again at CCCS! She is married to Nat Hill V. They have 3 children- Nat VI, David and Lucy, who are all CCCS students.

A fun fact about Mrs. Hill: She loves reading books, listening to audio books, watching British murder mysteries, gardening and going for long walks!

Open Arms Christian Ministries has committed to serving neglected, abused, and troubled youth, by providing homes and education to those who need hope in a desperate time in their lives.

Kyston is Principal For the Day tomorrow. He has arranged for a hot chocolate bar to visit each classroom and invites all students to bring their favorite stuffed animal to school (desk sized or smaller please!) tomorrow. The week before Thanksgiving break, 1st graders in Mrs. Christy's class delivered their hat day money to Pantry 279 to help purchase hams and turkeys for families for Thanksgiving. The students also made placemats to distribute to families with Bible verses written on them and helped fill boxes with food items!

Pantry279 provided 2,783 families with a box of food to make a complete Thanksgiving dinner this year. What an incredible blessing they are to the community!

It's Meet the Staff Monday! Meet Mrs. Kelley, one of our 4th Grade teachers!

Mrs. Kelley has taught at CCCS for 13 years and is a graduate of Hanover College, where she met her husband Thad. They have two children, Rachel and Drew, who are both graduates of Clear Creek Christian School.

A fun fact about Mrs. Kelley: She loves to dance! She was the dance team captain for both her high school and college dance teams.

The 5th grade class used their hat day money to buy and decorate a Christmas tree for New Hope For Families "Hope for the Holidays" Christmas tree auction, which is happening right now!

New Hope is the only homeless shelter in the community that lets families stay together. Thank you to everyone who sent in money for hat day to support this cause!

It's Meet the Staff Monday! Meet Mrs. Walker, CCCS's 3rd grade teacher.

Mrs. Walker graduated from Purdue University with her BA in Criminal Justice. She worked as a social worker for a few years before completing a Transition to Teaching program through Taylor University. She and her husband, Jacob have a yellow lab, a chocolate lab, and a black cat.

A fun fact about Mrs. Walker: She loves to read. She's read over 240 books this year!

Mrs. Kershner received her BA from Indiana University. She began her teaching career in Indianapolis teaching second and fifth grades in Warren Township. She also taught a multilevel class at Templeton Elementary. She is married to Bill Kershner and they have two children, Charlie and Emma, who are both graduates of Clear Creek Christian School.

A fun fact about Mrs. Kershner: She loves going to the beach!

The past two weeks we've honored couples with the J.O.Y stick award. These husband and wife pairs are no strangers to the school. On any given day you'll see them serving food, leading reading groups, or helping kids study in impromptu breakout groups. We're so honored to have partner parents like Brian and Maila Oliger and Scott and Elizabeth Robinson. Thank you for giving of your time and talents to the Eagles of CCCS!

Next week is SPIRIT WEEK! Students have the chance to participate each day between 11/7 and 11/11. Join us as we show our school spirit and celebrate the last week of Reading Olympics!

Hilltop was a rousing success! Thank you to all the families who were able to join their student(s) for the day. During chapel by the lake, Mr. Wallace challenged the students and parents to consider the metaphor of the yoke that Jesus told His followers to put on. Submitting to Jesus’s yoke releases us from the burdens of the world and unifies us with other believers. Thanks to Jeff and Anne Lucas for lending us a goat yoke for kids to be able to visualize the concept!

In lieu of a PTF meeting in November, we are planning a fellowship brunch! Bring a dish to share and join us for fellowship and delicious food from 11-1pm at the school on November 10th.

It's Meet the Staff Monday! Meet Mrs. Barrow, one of our 1st Grade teachers!

Mrs. Barrow grew up in Avon, Indiana. She came to Bloomington years ago to attend Indiana University where she graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education. Mrs. Barrow has taught at a public school here in town for the last 17 years. She has taught preschool, kindergarten, and second grade. Along with her husband, Adam, she attends City Church for All Nations and is a part of the City Kids program. Together, Mr. and Mrs. Barrow, have 5 children. Mrs. Barrow is so excited to have a classroom here at CCCS, where she can share her faith and love of God with others!

Fun fact about Mrs. Barrow: She loves attending concerts, being at the lake, and spending time with family!

Meet Mrs. Christy, one of our beloved 1st Grade teachers at CCCS. She has been married to Daniel for 22 years and they have two daughters, one golden retriever, one bunny, one cat, and 19 chickens. They enjoy camping, going on vacation and spending time with family. She has taught Kindergarten and first grade at Clear Creek Christian School since 1999. Mrs. Christy has her BA from Indiana University and her MS from Indiana Wesleyan.

A fun fact about Mrs. Christy: She rescued her bunny from a dog and only planned to keep her until she was big enough to go out on her own. But, when she was released, she wouldn't leave! So they still have her 3 years later!
