Metro South Adult Basic Education Metro South Adult Education serves Bloomington, Richfield, Edina, and Eden Prairie.

For over 50 years, Metro South Adult Education (MSAE) has provided educational opportunities to adults in Bloomington, Eden Prairie, Edina, and Richfield. Classes are offered in the areas of GED test preparation, high school diploma programs, English language (ESL), and skills such as reading, writing, and math. The mission of MSAE is to support the efforts of all adults who wish to improve their

lives through literacy, education, career development and lifelong learning. Through a consortium of four public school districts, Metro South functions as a bridge, connecting adult learners to important next steps in life.

Last week Metro South celebrated the last day of school with an End of Year Party! Students decorated the sidewalk with chalk, potted plants, picked out books and food, completed an art project, ate ice cream, played games, and took photos with their classmates and teachers to end the year! Metro South Adult Education and CHOICE Academy celebrated the graduation of 25 graduates on Wednesday, June 24th at Kennedy High School. There were 15 Metro South grads and 10 CHOICE grads. Meet our 2026 Metro South graduation speaker: Wendis Hernandez.

Wendis described her time at Metro South as "Challenging, but rewarding. The flexible schedule and supportive staff made it possible for me to finally earn my high school diploma while working."
