📚 New on the Faculty Bookshelf: Stephen Wyrczynski (Professor of Music - Viola) and Aram Arakelyan (Senior Lecturer in Music - Collaborative Piano) have released a groundbreaking new arrangement of Igor Stravinsky's ‘The Rite of Spring’ for viola and piano!

Published by Songburd Music, this new transcription transforms one of the 20th century’s most iconic orchestral works into a thrilling solo piece, preserving the raw rhythmic energy and harmonic richness of the original while expanding the viola repertoire.

Congratulations to Yishai Rubin, a Musicology PhD candidate, for being named a 2026/27 Leo Baeck Fellow! 🎓

As the upcoming academic year approaches, this prestigious international program (co-hosted by the Leo Baeck Institute London and the Leibniz Institute in Leipzig) will support Yishai’s dissertation research on "Music In and Around Jewish Communities of the Northern Rhineland, 1750–1815."
