With just around the corner, Indiana University’s IC-EMS is hosting its second annual mass casualty training simulation at Bill Armstrong Stadium on April 6, 2025.

Join us for this immersive day-long event featuring volunteer role players, high-fidelity trauma simulation mannequins, and public safety agencies from across the community and state—ensuring our future EMTs and first responders are prepared for anything from minor sprains to large-scale incidents!

IU RedLab joins IC-EMS with cutting-edge technology and support:

🌍 (Team Awareness Kit): Real-time mapping, comprehensive data integration, coordinated mission planning, and highly secure communication.

📡 3D & : Ascent Integrated Tech (FRST Challenge winners) enables advanced live tracking of responders/patients and continuous vital signs monitoring through TAK-enabled wearable technology.

📻 Real-Time Radio Transcription: AI-driven chat feed of active radio traffic, instantly highlighting critical keywords and precise alerts for faster response.

IU's annual FUNSAR: Fundamentals of Search & Rescue class equips students with real-world Search and Rescue skills. Last year, RedLab deployed technology to assist the students during the mock search and rescue in Hoosier National Forest and hope to push the boundaries this year!

Remember: You don’t have to wait 24 hours to report someone missing. Learn how to make a difference!

Fundamentals of Search and Rescue, which is open to the public, trains students to find people who are lost or missing in wilderness environments.
