No School Monday to Honor Martin Luther King Jr. Day!

Mark your calendars for next Monday 1/16 (no school) for our next Dine and Donate at Texas Roadhouse. Look for fliers in backpacks (electronic works too). And SCORE kids eat for .99 cents. A win for all! 🥩🥔🥗🍝🍴🌟

Below are a couple of notes as we come back to school tomorrow, Tuesday January 3rd:

🚘 Just a reminder that the doors open tomorrow at 9:15 am. Please do not drop your student off before that time as teachers prepare for their return.

☎️ If you need to have a student's transportation changed for afternoon dismissal, please contact the office no later than 3:00 pm. This allows the office to get those notices to teachers in a timely manner.

😀 We look forward to seeing everyone in the morning!

The Secret Shop was a hit! The kids enjoyed their experience shopping on their own for their family and friends. Thank you to all the volunteers, teachers, staff and family’s who made this happen! We also appreciate the donations that we’re sent in so all students could participate! We were so busy we wish we had more pictures to share!

🎄The giving tree has been replenished.
Our giving tree is loaded with tags in the main office. Come in today and grab a tag and support Summit students. If you have any questions contact the main office.

The Summit Secret Shop is this Thursday and Friday! Don’t forget to have your money turned in by this Wednesday, December 7.

We wanted to say, “Thank you”, to the American Legion for helping us with our Angel Tree this season at Summit Elementary.
If you are looking to donate items still, our social worker said she is in need of the following items:
Sweat pants: sizes 4, 5, 6, 8
Packaged underwear: sizes 3,4,5,6
Shoes: sizes 3 and under
Fidget toys
Squishy toys

Mark your calendars (12/8 or 12/9): The Summit Secret Shop is next week!
Please fill out your envelope (check backpacks) to let us know how much your child will:
1) bring to school to shop with
2) donate (if you choose to)

Please let us know if you want your child to shop for specific people. Our Secret Shop helpers will be there to help your student.

If you DO NOT want your child to shop, please check OPT OUT and send the envelope back to your child’s teacher.

**Please return the envelope by Wednesday 12/7. This allows the teachers and volunteers determine which students are in need of donations.

🇺🇸 In honor of our veterans we will be having a schoolwide convocation and program on Tuesday, November 15th at 2:30 pm in the Summit Gym.

Our 1st and 2nd graders will be performing some songs that they have been practicing in their Music Special. Some 6th graders also will be speaking as part of this performance.

We welcome any veterans that are members of the Summit community to attend this event. 1st and 2nd grade parents and guardians are invited to attend as well. We will open the doors for parents at 2:15 pm. Please enter at the Main Entrance.

We look forward to celebrating this wonderful program with everyone!
