Looking to boost your response rates for the 2026 NSSE administration? We want to highlight a few examples of ways that institutions have recently found success in increasing their response rates.

Ohio University:
The university achieved a nearly 30% response rate in its 2023 NSSE administration by including embedding the survey link directly into the learning management system, promoting the survey through digital signage across campus, and refining their approach to incentives.

Northern Michigan University:
During the 2023 survey, NMU recorded response rates of 24 percent for first-year students and 30 percent for seniors. NMU explored new methods of recruitment outside of email outreach such as setting up informational tables across campus, using QR codes on digital signage, and leaning on departmental partnerships.

We enjoyed the many conversations about advancing the future of higher education, thoughtfully integrating Artificial Intelligence into reporting and results, and ensuring we continue fostering relationships and partnerships with those in higher education. We are leaving Chicago feeling courageous, optimistic, and full of imagination for what we can accomplish together.
