We had the BEST time celebrating National Schwa Day! We made crowns, read The Not-So-Lazy Schwa, completed a Schwa word sort, built a list of Schwa words, and made “tunics” featuring pictures of Schwa words for our Schwa Fashion Show! Whew!

One School, One Book is one of the best times of the year at Oakland!!!

A donation of $6.30 sponsors one book for a student.
A donation of $157.50 sponsors an entire class.
A donation of $472.50 sponsors an entire grade level.
If you would like to contribute, please make checks payable to Oakland Elementary School. Checks may be sent in with your child to Mrs. Martin in the LMC or dropped off at the Oakland Office.
All donations are due by April 27th.
Your generosity helps ensure that every student can participate fully in this meaningful shared reading experience. Thank you for supporting literacy and helping us create another memorable One School, One Book celebration!
