Don’t miss Learning LinkUp tomorrow, Aug. 20 from 4:30-6:30 p.m. at the Valley View Playfields (9000 Portland Ave. S, at the corner of 90th and Portland).
Join BPS, Bloomington MN City Government and community partners for this free community event. There are back-to-school resources including backpacks with school supplies, while supplies last. Some of the fun includes free food, activities and entertainment like inflatables, face painting, lawn games, performances and photos with your school mascots.

When you're doing your shopping, consider picking up a few extras to donate to those less fortunate. Include them when dropping off your child's supplies during your child's Assessment Day or bring to the annual PTA Welcome Back event.

Find your kiddo's assignment under the "Schedule" link in the menu.

Also it appears that many people received the assignment form in the mail today, so if you haven't checked your mail yet, go get it!

Props to Mr. Z for a great year of positive vibes!

At Normandale Hills Elementary in Bloomington, music teacher Jeff Zupfer is helping students navigate a difficult school year through songs focused on joy, resilience and belonging.

It’s a bright spot, considering this school year was marked by several events that weighed heavily on students and families, including a shooting at the Annunciation Church and School and increased immigration enforcement across the Twin Cities.
