🫐 Join us Tuesday, June 9th for blueberry picking! (Weather dependent)
A big thank you to everyone who has come out and picked with us so far. The blueberry bushes need a few days to ripen up a fresh batch of berries, so our next picking day will be Tuesday, June 9th. While you're here, there are also plenty of opportunities to help in the garden with weeding and tending to the growing plants. Come enjoy some time outdoors, connect with your community, and help us care for this shared space.
📍 202 Cherry Street, Paoli
✅ Playground and restroom access available
💙 All are welcome!

A University of Maine study shows scientists created a natural waterproof coating using the turkey tail mushroom’s mycelium combined with cellulose nanofibrils, aiming to replace plastic food wrap and synthetic cup linings.
The fungal film formed a tight protective surface that blocked water, oil and grease, with water droplets beading on treated materials instead of soaking in.
The coating also resisted liquids like n-heptane, toluene and castor oil, proving effective across multiple conditions.
Mycelium materials are gaining interest globally, with projects in Singapore and the U.K. exploring mushroom-based cooling tiles and lightweight concrete alternatives.
