Juniors and Seniors come to BACC to learn the skills and knowledge necessary to pursue their career choice after school. Students who graduate the BACC's programs continue their career passions at 4-yr. colleges, and trade schools.

BCA HERO 2nd years were cleaning a transmission on a crane yesterday!

Our Heavy Equipment Repair & Operation or HERO program that teaches students all about safety, preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, repair and operation of heavy equipment! Students spend time between the simulation lab, service shop, and the practice yard! 🚜

Computer technology & networking was busy building portable screens for our cosmo and esthetic classes! Loving the team work 💇🤝💻

BCA’s computer technology & networking program prepares students for entry level careers in the computer field with dual credit through Heartland and the A+ certification exam. Students will be able to diagnose hardware or software failures through hands on lab time working with real computers! Level 2 focuses on network servers and operating systems. 🖥️🛜

Our criminal justice/law enforcement classes have had a busy two days! From coffee with a cop breakfast to a guest speaker today - students got to chat with real professionals in their field and learn more about their day to day experiences! 👮👮‍♂️🚔

BCA’s criminal justice/law enforcement course offers students hands on experiences to learning our justice system. Students will get the chance to develop practical skills for evidence handling, traffic stops, handcuffing, radio communication, reports, accident and forensic investigations while using our simulator!

The welding class was in the shop today 🧑‍🏭🎇

Our welding students learn workplace safety and reading blueprints while using hand and power tools on sheet metal. During the year, students will gain valuable learning experiences including planning, manufacturing, assembling, and metal fabricating process! Student will leave with AWS certification & Heartland College dual credit!

Our cosmetology and esthetics classes had a Friday fun day celebrating our state license through IDFPR! Students made custom lemonade and were creative with their hair styles! 💇🪮

Our cosmo students learn styling on long and short hair manikins including braiding, curling, straightening, up and down hairstyles & more! All hours accumulated during BCA are credited towards their 1,500 hour course and licensure!

Construction Trades brought out the big tools: drills, saws and more!! 🔨🪚

Our Construction Trades program will give you the experience required for carpentry, plumbing, and electrical work! This program is one of the few offered to sophomores so you can hone your skills further by taking level 2 and 3 and gain leadership skills! Multiple certifications and Heartland dual credit offered as well!

Automotive Technology was in the shop working under cars and on engines today! 🚗⚙️🧰

BCA’s Auto Tech students learn to design, function and diagnostic procedures of gas and diesel engines. After Auto Tech 1, students can take Auto Tech 2 and get more hands-on real-world experiences!

Our CNA classes suit and gloved up for the first time today!

BCA’s CNA class is our largest enrollment & for good reason! Students can earn double credit through Heartland Community College while getting hands on experience with real patients at clinical’s 2 times a week! At the end of the year, students can take the State CNA test and be a certified CNA in the state of Illinois! 🩺

And so many of our programs have had the National Guard guest speak (& play games) in their classes this week!
