These 14 counselors completed their final Monroe County 4-H Camp as youth members this week, and saying we will miss them feels like an understatement.
Their dedication to younger 4-Hโers has been nothing short of remarkable. It showed in their countless hours of preparation, their positive attitudes, their steady leadership, and the care, excitement, and attention they gave to every camper. They helped create a camp environment rooted in belonging, mastery, independence, and generosity โ the essential elements that help young people thrive.
Throughout the week, these counselors did more than lead activities. They created sparks for campers, encouraged confidence, modeled responsibility, and reminded us what youth leadership can look like at its very best.
Each senior had the opportunity to share a vesper and goodbye message on Tuesday evening, then share their future plans during closing ceremonies on Wednesday. It is safe to say that this group already carries incredible wisdom, compassion, and purpose โ and they are launching into the world with very bright futures ahead.
Congratulations to our Monroe County 4-H Camp Counselor Class of 2026. Thank you for leading with your heads, hearts, hands, and health. You have made the best better, and you will always be part of our 4-H camp family.
