Thank you for joining in the celebration of Amatria’s 8th birthday!
Amatria - an interactive, public Sentient Architecture sculpture has been a friendly presence to all who use and visit the building, and represents the ambitions of the Luddy School of Informatics, Computing and Engineering to have human and artificial intelligences live, learn, and innovate together in harmony. Perhaps the most unique public sculpture at the IU Bloomington campus, this party celebrated Amatria’s inspiration of renaissance engineering, science, and arts for years to come.
Amatria was joined by Aurora Mititelu - a Romanian artist based in New York who is currently the coordinator of the AI & Art Summer Institute at UCLA Social Software, Santiago Ortiz - director of Moebio Labs, her creator - Phillip Beesley, a multidisciplinary artist, designer and professor at the University of Waterloo School of Architecture in Ontario and the team at CNS including Katy Börner, Andreas Bueckle and Todd Theriault.
