Join us for conversation nights, cultural events such as our Danse Bretonne and Soiree Quebecoise, French food, fun, and conversation!

French Club is for all members of the Indiana University and Bloomington communities to come together, learn about French and Francophone cultures, and speak French. The inspiring Laure Gouraige at IU-Bloomington!

We would like to generously thank Laure for the time she spent with us and the wisdom she shared! Many excellent conversations were had - from the fusion of fiction and autobiography, lessons that writing has taught her, behind-the-scenes insights on editing and publishing, the ever-present theme of identity in her works, and so much more! We also enjoyed learning more about Laure’s current project that has kept her busy during her Jules Verne Writing Residency.

This week, we also celebrate the release of Laure’s latest novel, Grave, which dives into the profound grief of pet loss. We congratulate you on this wonderful success! Please find more information about the book at the link in her bio.

MERCI to our full house for cheese tasting yesterday!🧀We had so much fun tasting eight different cheeses with you, learning all about the historical and cultural significance of French cheese, and ranking them together! We also could not have pulled of this event without the help of our fearless instructors and DLI!

We were in awe of how many of you were brave enough to try the blue cheeses! Vous avez très bien fait🥳
