Most people know us for working with wind and water.

But fire has its own lessons to teach.

In this footage, Evolved Ministry students are learning how to interact with and influence the behavior of fire under the guidance of Michael Grubb.

It is part of a structured training system designed to help practitioners develop a deeper connection with nature and access the energy already present within it.

What does a deeper connection with nature actually look like?

For many people, nature is something observed from a distance.

For practitioners of Universal Connection, nature becomes something experienced as a living, responsive environment.

In this footage, Michael Grubb demonstrates that relationship at a dam on Lake Monroe, Indiana. Working with the rushing water, he first builds momentum within the current, then guides it upstream before drawing it back downstream, creating a visible response within the flow.

Yet moments like these are only part of the story.

After leaving the dam, the group continued along the shoreline and encountered a flock of ducks gathering for an evening search for food. The ducks gradually moved closer, sharing the space comfortably as the sun began to set across the lake.

Experiences like this are common among practitioners.

The goal is not simply to influence nature.

The goal is to reconnect with it.

To move beyond the perception of separation and develop a relationship with the environment that is cooperative rather than disconnected.

As the evening came to a close, the ducks drifted onto the water and the group paused to watch the sunset over the lake.

A simple reminder that some of the most meaningful moments in this practice are not found in dramatic demonstrations, but in the quiet sense of harmony that can emerge between people and the natural world.
