Today was a very exciting day at preschool—we released our butterflies! 🦋

After watching them grow from tiny caterpillars into beautiful butterflies, it was finally time to set them free. The children were amazed to see the complete life cycle up close and loved watching the butterflies spread their wings and fly away.

This has been such a wonderful hands-on science experience, filled with learning, patience, and lots of excitement. We will miss our butterfly friends, but we’re so happy to see them begin their next adventure!

We started our day the best way possible—enjoying warm cinnamon rolls and fresh berries outside for breakfast. There’s something special about gathering around the table in the fresh air, listening to the birds, and soaking up the sunshine before our day of play and learning begins.

These simple moments are often the sweetest. ❤️

Hearing of Danny Go!’s son’s passing brings such deep sadness. I’ve welcomed Danny Go! into our daily routines—singing, dancing, laughing, and learning together—so this loss feels especially heavy.

While we all support safe, quality care for children, many of these proposed changes could create unnecessary burdens on small family child care programs like mine—programs that families depend on every day.
