We are delighted to announce that on March 4, 2019, SPEA became the Paul H. O’Neill School of Public and Environmental Affairs, or the O’Neill School, in honor of former Secretary of the U.S. Treasury and IU alumnus Paul H. O’Neill. Paul O’Neill's career is marked by leadership and vision which he has applied across the three sectors of the economy we address in our teaching and research—public, private, and nonprofit. The naming honors O’Neill’s legacy of leadership and follows a $30 million gift, which will establish new student scholarships, fellowships, faculty positions, and the Paul H. O’Neill Center on Leadership in Public Service, among other initiatives that will advance the school.
