The men of ALPHA TKE along with some members of the Bloomington Normal community worked for a couple hours at Midwest Food Bank today packaging pizza toppings and corn. We were able to pack 5 boxes of corn (one box shown in the picture) weighing 400 lbs each, feeding numerous people around the Midwest in need of food.

Earlier this week the men of Alpha TKE volunteered at Midwest Food Bank for the third time this semester. We packaged pasta that will be shipped out to those in need for the holidays.

The second annual TKE Running Dead 5k is in the books. It was a great day for running, thank you to all of the participants who came out and showed their support. Our donation page will be up through the end of the evening, there is a link a couple posts down on this page. We will release what we raised by the end of the week. The men of Alpha TKE spent their early Saturday mornings helping construct a house for Habitat for Humanity. At the house in Normal we helped put together scaffolding, as well as putting up siding and sheeting the roof. Pictured below is some of the work that we accomplished throughout the course of the morning.

Even during a busy week of academics and athletics, the men of Alpha TKE spent their time volunteering with Midwest Food Bank. We helped package insane amounts of pasta for those in need. This was our second event with them of the semester and we will be back in November.

This Sunday at noon, the men of Alpha TKE are hosting the second annual Running Dead 5k. All proceeds and donations go directly to St. Jude's Childrens Hospital, so please help us support this life-saving organization. Any donation is greatly appreciated.

Need some excitement this Halloween season? Join the men of Alpha TKE in outrunning the Zombie Apocalypse at the second annual "Running Dead" 5k run/walk on Oct. 25! Run will start at the TKE house (1609 Franklin Ave) before continuing down Constitution Trail. Registration begins at 11:30 and the run starts at 12. A $10 donation is recommended and all proceeds go to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. Grand prize is a FREE ONE-MONTH MEMBERSHIP TO GOLD'S GYM. Other prizes involve of Flinger's gift cards. The men of Alpha TKE are having their second annual Zombie 5k: The Running Dead. The starting line is at 1609 N Franklin Ave in Bloomington, IL and continues on to constitution trail. The race starts at noon on Sunday October 25th . We will have refreshments and selling burgers and hot dogs afterwards. We look forward to seeing some of you out there.
