Parents… do you remember the parachute days in elementary school? The waves, the laughter, trying not to get swallowed by the mushroom 😂

One of the sweetest parts of Christian education is that childhood still gets to feel like childhood here. Joy. Friendship. Movement. Laughter. Simple moments that students will remember long after they leave our halls.

At LCA, we want students to grow academically and spiritually — but also to genuinely love being kids. 💙💛

☀️🏃‍♂️💦 Elementary Field Day was an absolute BLAST as we wrapped up the school year at LCA! From relay races and egg challenges to sack races, water games, laughter, and nonstop cheering… today was full of joy, teamwork, and memories our students won’t forget.

We are so thankful for an amazing school year and the incredible students, teachers, and volunteers who made today so much fun! ❤️🦁

📐🏙️ Learning is still happening at LCA, even with the last full day behind us!

Our 3rd graders brought math to life through their GEOMETROPOLIS projects, using geometry, creativity, and problem solving to design their own cities. Way to finish strong, Lions! 🦁✨

🏎️📐 Today, some of our Calculus and Physics students took learning beyond the classroom and headed to the Indianapolis Motor Speedway! From velocity and acceleration to angles, force, motion, and engineering design, students had the opportunity to see real-world applications of the concepts they’ve been studying all year.

Christian education is at its best when students not only gain knowledge, but learn to see God’s order, creativity, and design woven throughout His world. What a fun day of learning, exploring, and making connections between the classroom and the real world! 🔥🏁

🚌✨ Mrs. Kirtman’s 2nd grade class had an awesome day exploring the Exotic Feline Rescue Center today! 🐅🐆

Students had the opportunity to learn about caring for exotic animals, conservation, and the unique stories behind many of the rescued cats at the center. Experiences like these help bring learning to life and spark curiosity about God’s incredible creation. 🌎📚

A big thank you to the staff at EFRC for a fun and educational visit! 🐾💛

What a day in the Den. 🔥

From the Lions Den to the land of the Golden Tornadoes—Jane, you’ve represented LCA with excellence, grace, and humility. We’re proud of you and excited to watch what’s next.

Leones de la Luz 🦁✨

This week we celebrated the induction of new members into our Spanish Honor Society at LCA. These students have committed themselves not only to academic excellence in Spanish, but to a deeper understanding of language, culture, and communication.

“Leones de la Luz” — Lions of the Light — is more than a name. It’s a calling to lead with both knowledge and character.

This week, our Head of School, Mr. Judge, and LCA Board Member, Mr. Lautenbach, had the opportunity to celebrate literacy achievements across Indiana alongside Dr. Katie Jenner and educators from around the state 📚✨

We were there recognizing last year’s cohort (now our 4th grade class) for achieving a 100% pass rate on the IREAD exam—an incredible accomplishment that reflects their hard work and the faithful investment of our teachers 🙌🎉

We’re already looking forward to being back next year, as this year’s 3rd grade class ALSO achieved a 100% pass rate on the recent IREAD assessment! 💪📖

Mrs. Sydney Jones’s 1st graders wrapped up their “Tournament of Books,” with The Three Little Wolves and the Big Bad Pig taking the title 🏆

To finish it off, students created their own “basketball hoops” to share opinions and defend their favorite books—because strong readers know how to think and explain why.
