Yesterday, Bison Battalion conducted a Land Navigation lab to sharpen their skills in map reading, route planning, and terrain association. These proficiencies provide the foundation for future tactical labs this Spring.

Cadet Hodges was one of just two Hoosier track and field athletes selected to represent the United States at the 2025 World University Games. Held in Germany earlier this month, the event brought together more than 10,000 participants and officials from over 150 countries.

Congratulations, Cadet Hodges—your leadership and achievement truly embody the values of Duty, Honor, Country. Hail Bison!

Building a lethal and resilient team! 🔴⚪️🦬
Bison Battalion was hard at work honing their tactical acumen this spring before JFTX. Our cadets showed control and confidence conducting patrol base operations, and AO Bison was littered with paintballs during the platoon defense lab. MSIV cadets even trained up on machine gun simulators as OPFOR to put some pep in the platoons’ steps!

: Today we’re recognizing Bison Battalion’s Command Sergeant Major, CDT Richard Block! CDT Block is studying Kinesiology and will be commissioning into the Field Artillery branch this May. He has distinguished himself as an Air Assault School graduate and Leadership Excellence Award recipient. He can be found most Saturdays mentoring our Battalion’s future leaders at Tactics Club.

When asked for the advice he’d give to someone joining the Battalion he said:

“Be professional, respectful, and willing to learn. Don’t be discouraged for any reason because someone will always be more than willing to help you achieve your goals.”

CDT Block is a towering presence in both stature and character. To describe being appointed CSM, CDT Block used the word “proud.” Our Battalion is likewise proud to receive CDT Block’s leadership!
