Bloomington-Normal Human Resource Council BNHRC is an affiliate of the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM). BNHRC is an affiliated SHRM chapter.

BNHRC is a not-for-profit organization that has monthly meetings to enhance professional development in all phases of human resources and for small business owners without an HR. The Bloomington-Normal Human Resource Council (BNHRC) is a not-for-profit organization established to enhance professional development in all phases of human resource management. This is accomplished through the exchange of relevant knowledge and experience among members and through regular educational programs. BNHRC provides a local forum for your personal and professional development; provides an opportunity to develop your leadership, managerial, public speaking and group decision-making skills; provides a local networking areana; and a focus for legislative attention to local, state, and national human resources management issues.

Illinois SHRM is pleased to announce a new statewide initiative to expand Registered Apprenticeship opportunities for employers across Illinois.

Supported by a $350,000 grant from the Illinois Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity (DCEO), the initiative will help organizations establish or expand U.S. Department of Labor Registered Apprenticeship Programs in information technology (IT) and human resources (HR). Employers will receive technical expertise, implementation support, educational resources, and guidance on apprenticeship incentives to help build sustainable talent pipelines.
