Grano Montessori Studio

Just three short weeks until our Summer Montessori Adult & Child Playgroup begins! A four week session begins on June 30 at 9:30am-11am each Tuesday.

Playgroups are a chance for you to join a small community each week and enjoy sharing space with both your child and other families. Each week there’s a discussion topic (with an informational email sent before we meet), there’s always lots of chatting, and also lots of observing and reveling in the children.

This summer playgroup is for children birth to about 4 years old, a rare bigger mixed aged group! And this will be our only playgroup this summer. The fall session will begin in September, so if you are hoping to join the community, this is a great chance!

Final chance in June! Our last Music & Play one-time class is on June 24 at 10am-11:30am!

Join this special class where you get to participate in a half hour of music class led by our very own Hillary Harpold () and then an hour to play and enjoy community at the studio!

Every shelf, material, chair, and cozy corner has been chosen with intention. The Studio has been created to be a place where children can explore freely, where adults can exhale, and where community can grow naturally.

It’s a place for first friendships, messy play, meaningful conversations, music, movement, and quiet moments of discovery. Day after day, I’m grateful to watch families gather here and make it come alive.

Thank you for being part of this community and helping make the Studio such a warm and welcoming place.

This Sunday is our next Birth Story Writing Workshop! It’s in our new special one-day format from 1pm-3:30pm. Amara and Hillary create such a welcoming space for you to spend some time reflecting, writing, and sharing.

Our June workshop is currently getting pretty full – so if you are free this weekend, sign up for this one so you don’t miss out. We’ll be taking a pause over the summer with the workshops and after June the next one won’t be until the fall!

What a beautiful day! We had such a great time talking to so many families today at the Children’s Expo and we can’t wait to see you join our community!

Last year at the expo we were not yet in our Studio space! We had just purchased the space, construction hadn’t even started and I didn’t even have a schedule yet.

Here we are one year later, lots of offerings coming up this May, June, & July including: Montessori Playgroups, Music & Play, Explore & Play, and Birth Story Writing Workshops! And I’m no longer a solo act - our team includes Hillary () and Amara!

I’m so thankful for everyone that has made this possible and I’m so excited to continue growing!

Come visit us at the Children’s Expo this Sunday 4/26 from 1pm-4pm! We’ll be at Booth 38 - go to near the end of the first aisle on the right. I’ll have a small table for children to do a little activity and you can come chat with me! I’d love to see current and former families come on by and I can’t wait to talk to some new families!

Our Birth Story Writing Workshops have been such a beautiful experience! Here’s what one participant has shared:

“I really enjoyed the workshop! Amara and Hilary do a wonderful job giving structure to writing about your birth experience(s), but also leave it flexible to allow you to write about what’s most valuable. It’s very comfortable, welcoming, and warm—and not at all intimidating. It was great to FINALLY have time set aside to work on something I’ve been wanting to do for years.”

We have two one-day workshops this spring! We hope to have many more join us and get to experience this special event. Next one is coming up on May 3!
