Another interesting fact that I appreciate about Family Life Education is the advocacy for Family law and Public Policy. Growing up as a child I just knew I was going to be a lawyer. Although I chose a different path, I am grateful for the opportunity
to educate families and individuals on laws and public policy while advocating for the rights for individuals and groups in my community.
VIII. Family Law and Public Policy
Family law and Public policy is the understanding of legal issues, policies, and laws influencing the well being of families. Family and Law (relating to marriage, cohabitation, divorce, family support, child custody, child protection and rights, and family planning). All the while providing resources on Family and Social Services, Family and Education, Family and the Economy, Family and Religion, Policy and Family (public policy as it affects the family, including tax, civil rights,
social security, economic support laws, and regulations.
My goal is to provide support and education to communities that are under educated and overlooked when it comes to Law and Public Policy. I want to ensure that every individual
and family have the tools need to vote properly and how to advocate for better resources, economic benefits, and housing support. The law is what creates order and through my sessions, I hope to incorporate reliable non-biased information on your community's laws and public policies.

VII. Parenting Education and Guidance
When you think of Family Life Education what usually comes to mind is parenting. Some things like attachment styles, discipline, or a very popular subject gentle parenting. With parenting education and guidance there is more to the narrative than what is right or wrong parenting, it's not that simple. Parenting Education and guidance is the understanding of how parents teach, guide, and influence children, adolescents, as well as the changing nature, dynamics and needs of the parent-child relationship across the lifespan. When it comes to Parenting Education
I prefer to teach these sessions in group settings. Parenting is not a one trick pony! I, nor any person for that matter, do not have the only route to ideal parenting or guidance practices. The only facts outside of research and theory is personal experience. I always aim to provide the best options for my client and their family. I always ask these key questions: What type of parenting did you see as a child? What type of parenting did you need? What type of parent are you? What type of parent does your child/children need? These questions help guide us in
the ideal direction to create an informed and productive family life!

I took a small break to recover from some life changes, but now I’m back and better than ever! We left off discussing the interpersonal relationships, but this week we’re bringing things back to the family.
VI. Family Resource Management
Family Resource management is the understanding of the decisions individuals and families make about developing and allocating resources including money, time, energy, space, material and health assets, and networks of support to meet their goals. I am not a financial advisor, however with my certification I can educate on best practices for your individual or family’s resource needs. Whether you are starting over and using public assistance or trying to budget with one or multiple incomes. Your stability and financial literacy are the goal at the end of each session.

{Your time is valuable, don't waste it.}
Ask yourself:
What actions do I need to take?
What's getting in the way of me having hard conversations?
Am I using my time to achieve my goals?

This week’s topic is definitely perfect for the current weather forecast. Being together is what connects us all! Whether it’s through work, home, church, or our own chosen personal connections. Our relationships with others helps define our day to day lifestyle.
V. Interpersonal Relationships
We all have connections interpersonally with someone. It could be our parents, children, coworkers, significant other, friends, and acquaintances. In most cases we cannot choose the people we are connected to. We learn to navigate through each other’s trauma, past, life changes, highs and lows! We learn from each change, hurt, pain, and we reconnect through many other relational adjustments. The main focus is that we learn to deal, yes that’s it, we learn how to deal with each other in all of our flaws, differences, and similarities, we learn to deal.
My teaching on Interpersonal Relationships is to create an understanding of the development, maintenance, and dissolution of interpersonal relationships among friends, roommates, coworkers, neighbors, as well as family members. I use teachings on communication skills, decision making, problem solving, and conflict resolution. I also look further in to forms of intimacy, romance, while connecting respect, sincerity, and responsibility in relation to others. I will work with your group to navigate through your personal systems and we can work together to create the most efficient content and resources so that you leave each session feeling; educated, supported, and enlightened.

The next topic is always “touchy” pun intended! This topic is not so straight and narrow as people may assume. I do want to mention that this is not the same as s*x therapy, however I am an educator on the topic.
IV. Human Sexuality Across The Lifespan
With human development comes s*xuality. From infancy to the elderly, s*xuality is apart of our lives and development. As a Certified Family Life Educator, I am confident that you will have an understanding of the physiological, psychological, and social aspects of s*xual development across the lifespan, so that individuals can develop healthy s*xual adjustment.
Most of our course’s education is geared towards reproduction, emotional and psychological aspects of s*xual involvement, family planning, s*xual response, and the influence of s*xual involvement on interpersonal relationships.
I do not take the conversation on s*xuality lightly and will always approach the topic respectfully. Whether it be a religious, professional, or educational setting, my goal is to educate on healthy s*xual relationships.

Accountability is a strength, not a weakness. Parents are humans and prone to mistakes like everyone else.
If you want to build a deeper connection with your children, admit when you get things wrong, go back and correct what you said, acknowledge that you misunderstood, and apologize for knowing better now and making errors in the past.

It's Friyay! With so many different things going on I thought I would share the next context on this beautiful Friday.
III. Human Growth and Development Across the Lifespan.
This topic is my educational background, and I am so pleased to be able to educate on the lifespan in families and individuals. With my certification I can go into schools, medical, and mental health spaces to discuss our development as we progress through life. I can provide an understanding of developmental changes of individuals and families. I base all my resources on the knowledge of physical, emotional, cognitive, social, moral, and personality aspects.
My research spans from: Prenatal, Infancy, Early and Middle Childhood, Adolescences, and Adulthood (early, middle, and late)
Can you guess which stage is my favorite?
