April of 2022 saw the program cosponsor an event to celebrate the inauguration of the Mind, Brain and Machine Quad on the Bloomington campus.

Yet another one of the interdisciplinary initiatives the Program in Neuroscience works with, the Quad brings together IU’s drive towards being a leader in the fields of psychology, neuroscience, and artificial intelligence.

Symbolic of this effort, a green space quad was created between the present MSC II building, the Psychology building, the Luddy School and the Geological Sciences building. As the green space grows it will see these buildings all house education, research and advancement in psychology, cognitive science, the neurosciences and artificial intelligence.

On hand for the event were University Chancellor, Michael McRobbie, Program in Neuroscience, director, Joshua Brown, and faculty members Johan Bollen, Lorenzo Lorenzo-Luaces, Linda Smith and Justin Wood. All spoke about their work and what the Quad will mean to it. To see the presentations from the event please go to: https://youtube.com/playlist?list=PLJkZ_I6k8aXcGFtEw6tZNOOVpmHODpmqI
