We've got yard signs!
If you want to rep your support of the BHSN Choir program in your yard, we've got you. Signs are $15, include a stand, and are beautifully printed to go in your yard. Students can pick them up from school with either cash or electronic payment via our PayPal or Venmo (links in the profile).

We're home! We had one more day in Puerto Rico before our flight out, and it was just as jam-packed with activity as the rest of our tour. We started with a (slightly rainy) walking tour of Old San Juan, where we saw the old architecture, the new architecture, and (perhaps most importantly) the cats! Our tour guide mentioned the non-profit Save A Gato, which works to keep the cats safe, which we wanted to thank.
After lunch, we had a 2.5 hour wait in the TSA line before we finally made our way through. But with 10 minutes to spare, we boarded our plane for the long flight back to Indianapolis, finally getting back to Bloomington at 2:45 am. It's been a long few days, but we've had so much fun!
Thanks to .pila, , Coro de Concierto UPR Ponce, The Union Church of San Juan, and Libre de Música San Juan Ernesto Ramos Antonini for hosting us and making music with us - it was a joy to hear all of you and share your spaces. We will remember your music and our visit forever. Fue un placer escucharlos a todos. Recordaremos vuestra música y nuestra visita para siempre.
A huge thanks to Vamonos Tours and for all the help coordinating a fantastic choir tour for Bloomington North! Time to start thinking about the next one!

Greetings from a rainy Sunday in San Juan! Today was a day of performances. First, we were hosted by , sharing our song in and after their service. After lunch at the Plaza Las Américas mall, we then went to our second destination at . We had such a great time hearing their choir, sharing our full Elements program, and Bomba dancing after the concert! Thank you both so much for giving us the chance to sing in your beautiful spaces and hear your own music and dance.

What a wonderful day of adventure in Puerto Rico! We hiked and swam in El Yunque National Forest, climbed a watchtower for a fantastic view of the east end of the island, learned to dance a bit of bomba, and swam in the Atlantic...so a pretty slow day by our standards! We even met a new friend, a coquí frog hiding in a plant along the way. Tonight, we enjoy an evening of rest in Bayamón just outside of San Juan before our full day of performances tomorrow.

Happy first day of spring! We've been busy experiencing the life of the southern part of Puerto Rico in Ponce. Highlights from today include our concert with , our salsa lesson, our tour of Ponce's main square, and a swim party in the waters of the Caribbean! As the sun sets, we're looking forward to tomorrow

What a first day in Puerto Rico! We left North at 3 am, landed in San Juan around 12:30, and have been having a blast the entire time since.
We were met by a familiar face - our principal said hello as we got our luggage! We then hopped onto the bus and headed over the mountains to Ponce. After a brief bit of downtime at the hotel, we went to our first concert, and exchange with and the Coro Superior de Dr. Pila High School. What amazing music in the concert, and a great dance party afterwards!
Onto our next day! Stay tuned here for more updates.

Thank you so much Vienna Teng and Buskirk-Chumley Theater for allowing us to share your space and perform with you! It was a great experience for our choral singers and it was lovely to hear Vienna’s enticing answers to our students great questions! It was so lovely to work with Vienna and hear about her life, thank you so much!

A special performance, you say?
We have fond memories of learning and singing the Hymn of Axciom! If you go see our friend Vienna Teng this Friday, you might just be in for a treat with that.
Tickets available at the Buskirk-Chumley's website!
I'm continuing my tour of several places I haven't visited in quite a while. I'm excited to play some beautiful venues I've never been to before, as well as familiar ones that have supported me over many years. Stop into Morgenstern's today from 1-5 pm and our choir families will wrap your books in exchange for donations! Sounds like a great time to get that book for someone this holiday season.

On snow days, we find pets! Enjoy this smattering of our choir students comfortably ensconced on this wintry Friday with the fuzzy (and scaly - there's one lizard in there!) creatures that make lives better.
We're sad to miss our rehearsal but can't wait until we get to share music with you again.
