Sports season is in full swing, and our Human Performance Center team has been busy supporting athletes across the community. 🏈
Recently, sports chiropractor Dr. Melissa MacDonald was out with the MN Minx providing sports chiropractic care both pre-game and during.
Experiences like these help bring real-world sports medicine back into the classroom, where students learn directly from providers working with athletes at high levels of competition and help care for teams during Team Clinic through our internship opportunities.
The confidence boost from receiving a white coat needs to be scientifically studied. 😆

This weekend, we celebrated our Acupuncture & Chinese Medicine and Chiropractic students as they reached this important milestone in their educational journey.
With their white coats officially on, these students begin treating patients in De Rusha Clinic, putting their knowledge into practice and taking the next step toward becoming future healthcare leaders.

At NWHSU’s Human Performance Center, students don’t just learn about sports chiropractic in the classroom, they step into real clinical experiences with real athletes.
Through the Sports & Rehabilitation emphasis, students gain hands-on experience in injury assessment, rehab, recovery planning, soft tissue therapy, exercise rehabilitation, and interdisciplinary care, all while working alongside experienced clinicians and mentors.
From weekend warriors to elite athletes, this is where future sports chiropractors build the skills and confidence to step into practice ready for the field.
