Last week, we visited La Casa/The Latino Cultural Center on campus. We learned about La Casa, the many amazing things they do, and also a bit about Dia de los Mu***os!

INSPIRE students get to travel! We recently took a weekend trip to Chicago. Stops included: Chinatown, Millennium Park, the Museum of Science and Industry, and the Shedd Aquarium. We also made time for deep dish pizza at Giordano's!

As an INSPIRE student, you have unique opportunities to connect with School of Education faculty! On Friday, we welcomed faculty and graduate students to the INSPIRE seminar, and they talked with students about the projects they are working on this semester. Faculty provided wonderful guidance and insights for the INSPIRE students.

Photos from our recent visit to the Metropolitan School District of North Lawrence Township.
Students got to meet Superintendent Dr. Shawn A. Smith, learn about job opportunities in the district from Director of Human Resources Dr. Justin Hunter, visit classrooms, and interact with teachers and principal of Crestview Elementary Natalie Schneider. Students were also joined by Armstrong Teachers in Residence Jennifer Herold, Patrice Huley, and Rose Calhoun. A big thank you to Armstrong Teacher-in-Residence Alicia Stevens for arranging our visits to Crestview Elementary and North Lawrence High!
