Beth Lodge-Rigal is the Creative Director of Young Women Writing for (a) Change Bloomington. For 16 years, she’s been dedicated to building safe and courageous spaces for women, girls, and all individuals to create and connect through the art of writing and deep listening.
“… while there’s a strong #MeToo subtext… I use the phrase “me too” at numerous points in the novel to show positive connections between characters or characters and the art they’re passionate about. It’s a reclaiming of what “me too” can also mean. These “me toos” signify love.”

Our Story

Young Women Writing for a Change is a program of the Writing for a Change Foundation of Bloomington, Inc. . This arts-education non-profit organization has evolved out of the Women Writing for (a) Change leadership community.
We are dedicated to supporting emerging voice, inner authority, and the use of writing as a transformational tool. Our circles for girls, teens and young women adhere to an inclusive definition of "woman" and "female" and welcome any young person who identifies as female, including trans and non-binary young women. Co-ed programs welcome all young people regardless of their gender identification. We are located in a handicap-accessible building and do not discriminate based on religion, race,ability or sexual orientation.
