Young Women Writing for (a) Change Bloomington

We aim to foster healthy writing communities that lift up and celebrate young writers' voices.

Check out our website for registration and information: www.womenwritingbloomington.org Young Women Writing for a Change is a program of the Writing for a Change Foundation of Bloomington, Inc. This arts-education non-profit organization has evolved out of the Women Writing for (a) Change leadership community. We are dedicated to supporting emerging voice, inner authority, and the use of writing as a transformational tool. Our circles for girls, teens and young women adhere to an inclusive definition of "woman" and "female" and welcome any young person who identifies as female, including trans and non-binary young women. Co-ed programs welcome all young people regardless of their gender identification. We are located in a handicap-accessible building and do not discriminate based on religion, race,ability or sexual orientation.

Girls Write!
Creative Writing for girls and non-binary youth ages 8-12 years.
Monthly circles on Sunday afternoons, starting on October 11th, 1:00-3:30pm.
A supportive and empowering environment for young people to explore creative writing, meet other writers, and form a writing community. This year our theme is World Building, and our sessions include two hike-and-writes! Full description on our website: www.womenwritingbloomington.org

Congratulations, Women Writing for (a) Change-Bloomington!

As our 2026 Literary Champion, this organization has made significant contributions to Indiana’s literary community. WWf(a)C Bloomington has been growing its welcoming writing environment for the past 22 years, creating safe and inspiring learning opportunities for individuals who wish to pursue the art of writing as a tool for growth.

Throughout the years, it has expanded from a group of about 16 women to a nonprofit with several outreach programs created in collaboration with local organizations and nonprofits.
