We are so proud of Rylee Burner!!

After a long and full three days of competitions, workshops, networking, fun outings, and expos at JAG Nationals in Indianapolis, we are thrilled to share some exciting news!

Our three JAG representatives (Rylee Burner, Ian White, and Landon Summerlot) did an outstanding job representing our state, our region, and most importantly, Owen Valley High School.

We are especially proud to announce that Rylee Burner placed 7th in the NATION in the Career Preparation Presentation Competition, which is a tremendous accomplishment on a national stage!

Although Ian and Landon did not place, their hard work, dedication, and professionalism were truly commendable, and we could not be prouder of all three.

Please join us in congratulating Rylee, Ian, and Landon for their remarkable efforts and for representing Owen Valley with excellence and pride.

Yesterday's inaugural JAG Day at Indiana State University was a success for our Owen Valley HS JAG program! Our students gained first hand exposure to the college experience, from meeting President Dr. Mike Godard to touring the campus and engaging with university students. Sitting in on a history class provided a glimpse into higher education academics, and lunch in the dining hall offered a taste of campus life. This type of experience is crucial in helping our JAG students make informed decisions about their post-secondary options. Thank you, ISU, for this wonderful opportunity!

🌟Congrats to our November Student of the Month🌟, Ian White from Owen Valley High School!

Of Ian, his Specialist Ms. Gillenwater says, "Ian is not only an excellent JAG student but also a well-rounded individual. He actively participates in Owen Valley's archery team 🏹, fishing team 🐠, and track πŸƒβ€β™‚οΈ. Beyond the classroom, he is known for his kindness and charisma.

After graduation, Ian plans to serve our country by enlisting in the U.S. Marine Corps. This courageous decision speaks volumes about his character and commitment to service. We are incredibly proud of him and can't wait to see what his future holds." JAG Indiana Region 8 Jobs for America's Graduates (JAG) Indiana Department of Workforce Development
