ICYMI: Our Entrepreneurship program is helping students turn their ideas into actual, real businesses in our community. This fall, we’ve expanded to offer a fast-track program that helps existing owners strengthen their small businesses in areas like marketing, finance, and legal.

Last year, the program invested $30,000 back into eight alumni businesses in our community with the Ivy Tech Venture Fund.

What started with a coffee pod turned into a growing business and a TV feature. 📺☕

Congratulations to Ivy Tech Bloomington Entrepreneurship alum Simone Cabral Vilaca and her business, By Soul & Hands, on her recent appearance on FOX59 News Indy Now!

Since graduating in 2025, Simone has transformed recycled coffee pods into handcrafted jewelry that's now sold in retail stores, showcased at markets across the region, and recognized at the National Association for Community College Entrepreneurship national pitch competition.

We're proud to celebrate Simone's creativity, determination, and everything she's accomplished since graduating. Congratulations, Simone! 💚👏
